3M has launched a marketing software package called M.O.V.I.E. (Measurement Of Vehicle Image Effectiveness). It compares the effectiveness of various advertising methods and supplies the user with a wide range of statistical data for the analysis of advertising campaigns.

Thanks to M.O.V.I.E. it was checked that 30 vehicles driving through United Kingdom, on average 10 hours per day, 250 days per year, gave the possibility of seeing the advertisement about 8 million times.

Among this:
22% were people from the age range 30-39
15% were people holding higher business posts
38% were people who saw the advertisement on their way to or from the workplace

It was calculated that if the price of vehicle marking is 500 GBP per vehicle, the cost of the advertising campaign is 0.06 pound per 1000 viewers. By comparison, the respective cost of TV campaign is 4.70 GBP, magazines - 5 GBP, billboards - 6.17 GBP and in national newspaper - 12 GBP.
